Pink Trousers - eBay (originally M&S)
Leonie - Dr Martens
Jeans - Topshop (sale)
Suede and Gum Sole, Air Force 1's - Nike - Size?
So recently I've been updating my trouser / jean wardrobe, not that it's lacking in any way, I just have really crappy self control! I've been after pink trousers for ages and a random search on eBay took me straight to the perfect pair and with a mere cost of £1.99 I won! Of course there was postage to pay for but I can't argue with a pair of trousers for less than a fiver.
These jeans also cost me just over a fiver as they were in the Topshop sale, then there was extra sale and then extra discount because I'm a student. It was a good day! I've cropped them and let the edges fray and I'm super happy with the result!
I still have loads more to show you, so maybe another haul, or try and get some outfit photos done?

Just some more imagery to update you on how my life looks at the moment! Just lots and lots of university work as there's a presentation for all my work in a couple of days. As you can probably imagine there's lots of stress at the moment. I will hopefully get some more Manchester 'lifestyle' posts soon though and I apologise for no outfit photos but again, I just don't have the time or anyone to ask (lol lame excuse). When Christmas break comes around, I plan on taking loads of photos and getting lots of draft posts ready for the new year. If you want to check out my 'online portfolio' then please have a look here!
How 'effin scary is it that it's almost 2016?!
Hey guys, I've started to set up a quick, visual portfolio of all my work to share with not only you lot but to the industry as I'll be applying for placements very soon! It's just a way for me to get my work out there a lot quicker so if you want to follow me then please do. I will definitely be trying to post my work here too though!
Another quick post, but I needed to share these adorable cat cushion I got from Amy's bigcartel. I've seen them a couple of times on her instagram and blog then when my student loan came in, I just couldn't help myself! The yellow one is actually my sisters because well, she loved them just as much as I did.
I think it's really important to support local and independent artists and creatives, so that's my aim this Christmas... did I really just mention that?!

I've been gone a while because uni work is taking over every aspect of my life - second year struggles. So here's a quick post of some of my work and images I've liked this week, I think this could be the way my blog is for a while. Random posts every now and again, mainly sharing my work and various daily life activities (that's if I actually do anything with my life!)
Hope everyone is okay and enjoying school / college / university!

Carhartt - Size?
Denim Skirt - Topshop
So I have another outfit post! My sister stayed the other weekend while Cow Vintage had it's store lock in (it's where I work) and obviously to see me! We got up to lots of shopping, we ate at Almost Famous, which let me tell you was bloody gorgeous. My sister even described her meal as the best burger she's ever eaten! Fred Aldous was another stop to use the photobooths because we couldn't exactly not.
For once I wasn't wearing any items of clothing that were black, I went for a more blue vibe which I actually really like. I think my new carhartt t-shirt goes really well with the structure of the denim skirt, then pairing with my docs just toughened it up a bit. Later on I ended up swapping to trousers and trainers to go over a friends for a couple of drinks.
I have a couple of more new bits courtesy of my new job and student loan so maybe I could share those soon?
Stripe Jumper - Zara
Navy Jumper - New Look
Just a quick post and catch up today! I'm now officially at Manchester, studying Fashion Design and Technology: Menswear - second year. I've waited so long to be transferred here from Cardiff and I still can't quite believe it! I'm absolutely loving everything here and I'm so happy I made the decision to move. There's lots of hard work involved in my second year as well as sorting out my CV and portfolio ready to apply for placements, which I'm super nervous but super excited for.
My aim is to blog at least once a week, not as much as I'd like but I want to be realistic as I only have one day off a week due to uni and starting my new job; just need to settle in and get a routine going.
Anyway, since I have moved up North, I'm going to have to get used to the weather making me realise I only own 3 jumpers; for someone who's favourite season is Autumn, it's a bit of a shocker. So with my student loan coming in and getting a new job, I thought I'd treat myself to a few jumpers. I ended up only finding these two as 1. I'm very fussy and 2. Jumpers don't suit me very well (I know, annoying right). They're both ridiculously comfortable and soft, plus a little over sized so I can get plenty of layers underneath. Winners if you ask me!
Have you bought any new items for the A/W?

Dr Martens (featured numerous times... someone help)
How bloody gorgeous is this skirt?! I bought it a week or so ago when I was up in Manchester for job interview (I got the job btw woo) and I straight away fell in love with colour. Best part is that I was going to buy a faux suede one from River Island that was no where near as nice as this. Therefore I'd definitely recommend scouting out your local vintage shops or charity shops for that matter, if possible.
This was my outfit for a recent cinema trip with my dad to go see Legend; my gosh you need to go watch it. Whether I'm being biased because of all the Tom Hardy I witnessed but I still think it's totally worth seeing!

I wanted to do a post on clothing items that would be perfect for University (or college for that matter) but once I started searching, it turned out almost everything I wanted was from ASOS. Saying that Topshop and Zara are really on form at the moment with their A/W collection. Anyway after lots of searching this wishlist was created. Let's just say that if I win the lottery any time soon, these items would definitely make their way into my basket!
Being a blogger and fashion student, I could write for days about each items of clothing but I think the models can do the talking today. Let me know your favourites, or maybe what you're after for the new season.
Sweater - Pho London (Giveaway item)
Denim Skirt - Topshop
Canvas Bag - Sister's Creation
Shoes - Dr Martens
Rings - Vintage
Firstly I just need to get off my chest that I'm not completely happy with the quality of these photos so just bear with me on that and I will get a better camera. Anyway, this is an outfit I wore the other day when I was going into Worcester to see some college friends I hadn't seen in just over a year! It was a really lovely day to catch up and lucky that the weather was so nice for us.
The jumper I have mentioned in a previous post (here) explaining that I in fact won it as part of a giveaway from Pho London. Pairing it with a denim a-line, my trusty docs and glittery socks, it provided me with a comfortable and relaxed outfit while still looking like I've made an effort.
I also wanted to share with you this star canvas bag my sister has made; while the bag itself is an eBay purchase, all the stars were created by hand. I'd say that's pretty impressive to say she's not one for sewing and that you can do anything if you put your mind to it! Check out her instagram @emily_fearne as she has intentions on possibly creating more to sell over the christmas period! (Gosh did I really mention Christmas this early?!)

Say hello to my most recent depop purchase (I'm getting hella good at depop)- these absolutely full of sass trousers. I remember seeing them in Topshop on the 'last chance to buy' rail and immediately fell in love but at the price they were, I just couldn't seem to justify them. So thanks to a lovely seller, they're finally mine!
I wanted to keep the outfit quite casual as we were going shopping and we all know how stressful that can be. I added my trusty vans (which if you follow me on instagram '@chloxlla_' you'll have noticed they haven't left my feet) and my denim jacket which I've had years (£5 bargain may I add) which gave me that cool, laid back vibe I was going for.
Anyone else had some star buys from depop?

This week I found out that I have been confirmed as a second year (transfer) student at Manchester Met to study Fashion Design and Technology: Menswear. Now it's all starting to feel real, I'm super excited to go and have a 'fresh' start on University life. Having done the whole first year / freshers experience, I've written 6 tips for all you new students out there!
Talk to everyone - every night out, every social event, every lecture, just talk to people. It's an opportunity to meet new people and make new friends!
Organise your money - as boring as it sounds, budgeting your money for each week means you won't go blowing it all in the first week. (Trust me I know people who have done this)
Explore your new home - I don't just mean walking round your room and flat; explore the city that is going to be your new home for the next 3-4 years. When your friends and family visit you won't be short of places to take them!
Don't be 'that guy' - If you're coming home late or have left numerous plates in the sink, please remember that you live with other people (something some of my previous housemates seemed to forget). Just don't be an ass, common sense really?
Get a clothes horse - Not lucky enough to live at home during uni or close enough that your parents will your washing for you? Then afraid it's all down to you. It can get expensive, (due to student budget) sharing with flatmates splits the cost but also drying your clothes in your room saves you money on tumble-dryers. (TMI - short on underwear? Wash them in your bathroom sink provided you're in an ensuite!)
Kitchenware - Odds are you will not return home at the end of the year with everything you started with. It's okay and it's just a metaphor of your life.
There is obviously much more advice I could give, and I wish I'd known silly things before I'd started uni but you also have to experience things yourself (such an adult thing ah). University will be the worst times of your life but also the absolute best, so just get up and enjoy it!

Anyways, here is my super cool outfit and to be honest, I felt really happy and for once I was actually fully confident in what was wearing. I wore this into town the other week when I was meant to try find fabric but I just couldn't avoid a bit shopping too.
I saw this kimono / jacket thing when it was full price but couldn't justify the £40 price tag but luckily it went into the sale not long after. I tried it on along with a beautiful orange, off the shoulder dress (don't worry I'm just as shocked as you) and I was stood in front of the till handing over the money before I knew it! Although without the dress, but I did pick up some more glittery socks and tights... slight addiction.

Some days I fancy wearing short denim skirts with crop tops, looking like I've just come from a Topshop photoshoot (nothing wrong with this), some days I want to wear vintage mom jeans covered in what looks like paint with oversized t-shirts, others I want to wear trousers with my new fave CDG top and cool trainers. I know some of you may be reading and thinking 'that's all part of the fun dressing up and not being limited' and a couple months ago I thought exactly the same. But recently it's just frustrating. I want to wake up in a morning and know how I want to dress and what suits my body etc.
I think I know how I want to dress, I have this idea in my head, but then I'll look at items that don't fit that 'category' and my mind changes all over again; tumblr and pinterest I'm looking at you. I guess this is all a part of growing and being an 'adult' but being an adult sucks. So for the moment and for however long this continues for, I'm just going to have to deal with this.
I know this post is kind of out of the blue and not something I'd normally post, but I guess I just needed somewhere to address my current style issue. If anyone else feels the same or used to and now has found their style, or a way for me to except it, then please comment below!
