Old Skool Vans - Cloggs

'Welcome to the Jungle, we got fun and games'
I mean IKEA basically contains a jungle of some kind and IKEA definitely is fun and games, well in my eyes anyway.

My sister managed to sneak a few photos whilst we were there as I'm pretty sure there was a no photos sign on the way in, no idea what that's about? Anyway, these Cargo Pants have become a firm favourite in my wardrobe; in fact I've worn them 4 times since buying them last week. I've wanted a pair for a very long time, only looking in vintage stores but London just didn't come through for me until I went home. We go to our local Flea Market every month and I found these for £5! I hadn't tried them on and so glad I took the risk for that price.

This sort of follows on from my previous post about second hand shopping; get searching on Facebook, google, instagram and find your local vintage fairs / stores / charity shops and really hunt down those gems and bargains.

Halloween Edit : Boohoo

*all items from Boohoo*
Click to be taken to each item
Halloween Tee - similar 1 / 2 / 3
(currently unavailable code: DZZ65818 if you want to check back)

You know when Halloween is coming up but you don't have any set plans but you don't wanna miss out on the fun? Well this outfit is my way of doing Halloween without walking down the street on the 31st with full on Malificent costume going on (as much as I'd like to).

After looking on the Boohoo Halloween section, which took a long time as there is so much choice. Whether you want a bodycon dress adorned with skeleton or maybe some ghost print leggings, or even just a cold shoulder velvet tee, then Boohoo has got you covered. I decided on this top that adds some fun to an outfit and carries on the slogan tee trend we've been seeing the past few seasons. Pair with a pair of skinny's to keep the outfit more casual then sassing it up with this amazing velvet bomber and block heeled boots.

This autumn we're going to see a lot more textures and fabrics going on and Boohoo is already fast on it and I can't wait to get my hands on some more pieces to share with you.

Embroidered Dragon

Embroidered Jacket - Traid
Long sleeve tee - Boohoo MAN
Levi 501's - Cow
CDG Converse - End

Just a quick one today on an outfit I wore a while ago to work when the weather didn't make you want to curl up into a ball and shiver.

Latest jacket pick up from Traid which is a charity shop group with a handful of stores around London that have a more select range of clothing. I'll definitely get more wear out of it once the warm whether comes back around (which is a long while yet).

Pair with a plain white tee, levis and converse, you've got yourself a super simple yet 'cool and effortless' outfit.

NEW IN : The knitwear one

First things first, I apologise now that literally everything in this post is thrifted / second hand / sale finds, but it also re-iterates my whole point in the post.

I've always loved vintage / charity shopping due to high street stores never fulfilling my 'style requirements'. The feeling of finding a gem in a local charity shop at the fraction of the cost whilst knowing that i'll probably never see anyone wearing the same is a dream for any teenage kid obsessed with tumblr. Although I have  been wearing the same bon marche top as an older lady on the bus once.

What I'm saying is that I bloody love bargains and I love vintage even more so it goes hand in hand (87% of the time). So this is a post showing you 3 pieces of knitwear I picked up the other week and  almost a warning that I will be sharing vintage pieces more because my collection keeps on growing!

The Full Winter one
Jumper : Charity Shop
Cords : MHL (sample sale through work)
Nike Air Force 1s : Size?

This jumper just shows the magic of charity shops; a huge hand crocheted jumper that just screams 'I'm so ready for winter' even though you're pining for summer to come back. Paired with MHL Cords that I picked up at the sample sale at work, this creates one super heavy, wintery look; I'm sold.

The Christmas Party one
Jumper : Charity Shop
Slip : H&M Sale
CDG Converse : End

How to get away with wearing cosy knitwear to those all exclusive christmas / new years parties? Throw a slip dress over it! Well I guess christmas is the season to be jolly and this red jumper emulates that perfectly.

The 90's Garden Mom one
Jumper : Cardigan
Levi 501's : Flea Market
Nike : Depop

This is my 'mom who's just brought out a gardening book in the 90's look'. Yeah I'm not really sure what's happening either but i'm kinda digging it. A simple cream knitted jumper, 501's and a pair of nikes (or your fave trainers) and you've got yourself a casual autumn look.

Comment below what you guys think!

Room Tour (finally)

Here is long awaited room tour post of my flat in London, not that I've been pestered for it, so more longly awaited for myself.

I wanted to try something a bit different with the photos and the layout. It's similar to something I did for my uni project and really enjoyed putting that together so I thought I could try replicate and use in my blog somehow. I'm still not sure whether it works but wanted to try something new, so let me know what you guys think.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy!

Boohoo wishlist

6. Loafer

I thought I'd share a quick round-up of things I'm loving on Boohoo at the moment and of course it's predominantly black. With Autumn drawing in, I'm finding myself edging back towards darker colours in my wardrobe, which isn't actually that difficult.
Autumn / Winter is the perfect time to wear those dark, subdued colours but this year I want to make sure to inject a pop of colour every now and then so I don't look completely morbid.

I think all these items work really well together and can be layered very nicely - although I have noticed I'm lacking in the trouser department slightly. When it comes to this time I've year, I notice that I always seem to wear the same jacket and jumper combo because I never seem to have enough, so this year that will change! I will have a solid collection of knitwear and jackets to hand!

What are you lusting for this winter?

OUTFIT: Don't Ask

Jumper : H&M (couldn't find navy online)
T-Shirt : Carhartt (white / black)
Bag : DIY
Skirt : Topshop

This post follows on from my weekend in Cardiff, where Ryan and I decided to take some outfit photos in front of some cool graffiti (how tumblr) but I'm actually really happy with how they turned out.
It was kind of warm which is a rarity in Wales but of course I took my latest knitwear piece with me, as it's not left my side since buying it a couple of weeks ago. It has a huge chunky silver zip down the back which I'm normally not a fan of, but I had the genius idea that if I fully unzip it I can then use it as a cardigan; I don't study fashion for nothing!

I also gave my new Carhartt t-shirt its first outing. Recently I've been trying my best to buy items that I can wear to work but also on weekends too. This top is clearly not one of them but I made an exception. It reminds me of art college days and screen printing onto t-shirts and canvas tote bags (it feels so long ago). I decided on a larger size so it has that oversized skater feel when worn with a pair of 501's and converse, but I went for a black button down and my fave docs to 'soften' it up a bit.
